This tutorial will focus upon the root causes of most sleep disorders and easy to use, self help techniques from Traditional Chinese Medicine. Learn acu-points and herbs for getting a good night’s Sleep. Meditation and the Psychology of Optimal Experience - Saturday March 10th To those who can perform it well, T'ai chi chuan is a joyous artistic performance where all separation between mind and body disappear and the world is perceived as humming with life, vibrant, beautiful and somehow indefinably sacred. The meditation aspect of Tai Chi, and the changes in perception it produces, may explain the profound effect that T'ai chi has had on science, philosophy, art and culture in China. It affects practitioners at the very core of being... consciousness itself. Last years Art of Fitness at the Cherry Creek Arts Festival was a Big Hit! ACSM & World Congress on Exercise is Medicine Bring Family and Friends!!! More than 5,000 attendees will gather to enjoy presentations of original research for An Historic Commitment to World's Prescription for Health Exercise Is Medicine is an initiative focused on encouraging health care providers to include exercise when designing treatment plans for patients. Exercise and physical activity are integral to the prevention and treatment of diseases and should be regularly assessed as part of all medical care. The World Congress on Exercise is Medicine, serves as an international forum to address the science, practice and policy aspects of the impact physical activity has on disease prevention and health promotion. This year, learn about what international colleagues have done to begin implementing Exercise Is Medicine in countries across the globe. The second world congress will discuss the development of the global initiative, and how you can be involved. The Colorado Governor's Council for Physical Fitness and CGCPF will play an integral role in assisting with this international conference and ensure that Colorado is a leader in keeping our people healthy. TCM College of Sports Medicine's particular interest is to make sure Tai Chi and Qigong play an integral part in the Exercise Is Medicine efforts. (After all, we have a few thousand year head start in using Exercise as Medicine.) Colorado Governors Council for Physical Fitness...
